     The Point Pleasant Firemen’s Association was formed in 1915.  The objectives of this Association are, and always have been: the extinguishment of fire, the protection of life and property, and to promote the social fellowship between it’s members.  We continue to hold true to to our objective by providing the Point Pleasant Fire Department with volunteer firefighters and ambulance personnel.  We provide a welcome atmosphere for the members and their families with several clubs, events, picnics, and other various activities throughout the year.

     Now what does that all have to do with being a Pea Picker? This might be what you are thinking right about now.  Well the answer is that in our early existence, much of the fire department’s jurisdiction was in farmlands, and pea fields.  Thus, many of our members were...pea pickers!!
